Dry cow Tubby
the problemAll animals (including humans) have the ability to provide nutrients for the foetus developing in the womb. As the pregnancy matures the demands of the unborn offspring increases at an enormous rate, culminating in the last few days with the eventual physical act of parturition. To fulfil this need the plan of micro nutrition should be increasing with the pregnancy, with the greatest requirements being during months 8 and 9. Nature would arrange this with the seasonal arrival of lush grass for the mother and her calf. Unfortunately these crucial months are often associated with a near starvation regime or, at the best, poor back grass or even in many cases straw and water. This is fine to keep the mother from getting fat, but is actually creating an induced crisis of malnutrition where farms are already short of minerals and trace elements. So we do not want fat cows, nor deficient cows. Such cows will suffer as will their unborn calves
the solutionThis is our definitive product for all cows during the last 2 months of their pregnancy. It is suitable for dairy dry cows and suckler dry cows. The cattle take what they need because it gives the best oppurtunity to avoid many nutritional problems with the calving process and the calf itself. It will reduce milk fever and cleansing problems and increase chances of eventual first time service.
